Laying the Foundation
The house is more than an idea—it’s a blueprint in motion, a plan we’ve begun to follow through. And like any meaningful creation, it doesn’t spring from chaos but from intention. Tools, rituals, and frameworks aren’t afterthoughts here; they are the pillars that hold everything up.
To build this house, we needed more than ambition—we needed structure. Not the kind that boxes you in, but the kind that amplifies creativity, shapes identity, and reinforces belonging. Here’s how we’re making that happen.
Source: The Engine Room
Source is where we work. Where ideas are born, shaped, and sharpened. It’s our in-session ritual: 50 minutes of focus followed by 20 minutes of play, repeated until something exists that didn’t before. Source isn’t about outcomes—it’s about intention. You don’t leave Source empty-handed, because as long as you’ve shown up and tried, you’ve already succeeded.
But Source is more than a workspace. It’s where the day-to-day heartbeat of the house lives. It’s where effort meets alignment, where we don’t just talk about creating—we actually do it.
Yap: The Megaphone
Yap exists because good work deserves to be seen. This isn’t about chasing clout or building a following—it’s about sharing what matters. When the work is ready, Yap ensures it doesn’t stay in a folder or gather dust on a shelf. It’s showcased, celebrated, and most importantly, given the chance to inspire others.
There’s no waiting for the “right time.” Yap is about the here and now. If it’s ready, it’s shared. No pretension, no overthinking—just a megaphone for what the house creates.
Aux: The Soundtrack
Aux is where the house finds its rhythm. It’s about new sounds, distinct intentions, and live energy. Think beat sessions, DJ sets, and a nod to the raw intimacy of a Boiler Room crowd. Aux isn’t just music—it’s the pulse of the house. Every set, every sound, every shared beat adds to the story we’re telling.
Music has always been more than background noise—it’s identity, emotion, and connection. With Aux, we take that to the forefront. It’s a space for discovery, experimentation, and movement.
Olio: The Soulful Conversations
Olio is our space for the casual but spiritual. Inspired by Think Olio, it’s where curiosity meets community. It’s where deeper dialogue thrives in a way that’s both intentional and welcoming.
In Olio, we talk about the things that matter—art, liberation, creativity—but not in the way academia or institutions would. This isn’t a lecture hall. It’s a room full of lifelong learners, sharing thoughts over coffee or wine, uncovering new perspectives. Olio reminds us that learning and growth don’t need to feel rigid—they can be joyful, human, and deeply connective.
After-Session and After-Season: The Glue
Work hard. Play harder. That’s the balance that keeps the house alive. After each session, we gather—not out of obligation, but because shared meals and moments outside of work are what transform a group of people into a community.
Every season, we widen the circle. Demo days bring us together with other nodes, sharing not just what we’ve made, but how we’ve grown. These aren’t just events—they’re milestones in the story we’re building together.
The Daisybook: The Archive
Nothing in this house is ephemeral. Every song, every photo, every demo is preserved. Not out of nostalgia, but because memory matters. The Daisybook isn’t just an archive—it’s a time capsule, a living document of who we are and what we’ve done.
We use Are.na to store it all, with every week getting its own block: playlists, photos, demos, and links. It’s a ritual of preservation, a way to make sure that nothing we create is lost to time.
Infrastructure: The Tools That Hold Us Up
From platforms like Are.na to tools like Partiful and Luma, we’ve built a system that supports the house. Each tool serves a purpose, from organizing recurring events to documenting our collective output. These aren’t just apps or services—they’re the scaffolding that lets us focus on what matters: the people and the work.
Rituals: The Soul of the House
Weekly playlists. Shared meals. Demo days. These aren’t just things we do—they’re the culture we’re creating. Rituals ground us, connect us, and give the house its rhythm. They remind us that creativity isn’t just an act—it’s a lifestyle.
Why It Matters
A house isn’t just bricks and mortar—it’s the people who fill it, the rituals that sustain it, and the tools that make it all possible. This isn’t just a plan—it’s a practice. Every piece of this house, from Source to Yap, to Aux and Olio, is designed to amplify what we’re building together.
We’re not here to mimic what’s come before. We’re here to build something new. A house where creativity thrives, where effort is celebrated, and where identity is forged through action and ritual.
The foundation has been laid. The tools are in place. The work has begun.
If this sounds like a place you want to be, then come build with us.
