Spontaneity is often seen as the real source of creative work. Where you can be running errands, eating with friends or doing nothing at all and suddenly that’s where “creativity strikes” where your best work is made. But there has been something hidden from you, for spontaneity to give you your best work, you need to have been working for days, months, and years before that. To give your mind the best canvas to paint on. That doesn’t come from large and infrequent work. It’s cultivated from trying little and often, consistently and honestly. To find your strengths, your style and to work on it day in day out. To day dream about it and to push it forward at a moments notice when you see a breakthrough.
Source is the space where that happens. To find other people cut from a different cloth, and to make a quilt with them. But to make anything, you need tools and the space to experiment. Which is why we are located at DoES. The space where you can make literally anything. With tools for fabrics, electronics, wood, metal and plastics. Making has been a 13 year tradition for them. With that, if you want to get yourself familiar with the equipment they have available, we will now join them with their Maker Nights, every Thursday and a Maker Day every second Saturday of the month.
If you prefer a space more “Daisy” themed, Source on Saturdays are still kicking and ready for you to make with others.
Tickets for all three events will be available down below.
